Central to the main leisure complexes of south Pembrokeshire.Hillcrest Hut is set on a 12-acre smallholding currently kept as hay meadows with a wealth of wildlife, which in the early 1900’s ran the narrow-gauge steam engine, the “Bull Dog”, taking coal to Saundersfoot harbour, which the route can still be tracked today. The accommodation, Hillcrest Hut is overlooking magnificent views and large lawn area leading to the meadows. Enter Hillcrest hut through the large french doors into the open planned lounge, kitchen/dining area. This leads off to the bathroom. The comfy seating area over looks the surrounding fields. Hillcrest Hut is a wonderful retreat for couples seeking a comfortable break away in a thoughtfully designed, well-equipped accommodation. Apple Tree Hut
My partner and I stayed at this hut for 2 nights and we absolutely loved it. The host had very good communication skills and the gentleman that met us when we arrived gave us a warm welcome. We felt at ease and had a lovely time. Will definitely be visiting again.
Fantastic Relaxing Stay
We had 3 nights in the Apple Tree Hut and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hut is very well equipped and has everything you need for a few nights away. We were welcomed by David who showed us how to light and use the hot tub. We did get it a little too hot on the first night (45 degrees!) but got the hang of it after that, and it was perfect. So much nicer to have a soak in the quiet rather than having a pump running! Weather was changeable but we made the most of our two days, visiting Tenby on the train (£3.90 each return from nearby Kilgetty), much easier than trying to park in Tenby. Also visited nearby Carew Castle and tidal mill, which is a nice half day visit. Thank you Josh and David for a lovely stay, we hope to return soon! Bryan & Sharon.
Fantastic stay
We stayed for a long weekend, it was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful dainty accommodation, but enough room for two and a dog. Big open fields for the dog to have his run around too! Only 15mins drive from Saundersfoot and Tenby too so an ideal location! Hot tub was amazing too with wood supplied every day. We will definitely be back to stay, and already recommended it to friends and family! Thank you!!
Perfect Getaway!
Apple Tree Hut was great value for money, perfect setting and had everything we needed even a bottle of fizz in the fridge 😃 It was only a 15 minute drive to Tenby and Saundersfoot, but no pubs in walking distance. The hot tub was clean, relaxing and private. Josh was very helpful and provided wood each day. Beautiful place…would definitely recommend and stay again.
Perfect little getaway!
We had a lovely stay at Apple tree hut! The hut was private, spacious, spotless and extremely comfortable. Hosts were kind and helpful and location was quiet and convenient. Would definitely recommend for a perfect getaway in Pembrokeshire and we’re looking forward to visiting again!
Perfect Weekend Away
Myself and my partner stayed in Apple Tree Hut and our friends stayed in Hillcrest Hut. The huts were spacious, clean and accommodating for both us and the dogs (a Collie, Rhodesian Ridgeback and a Lurcher/Mastiff cross). The added extras such as the Prosecco, tea/coffee (and chocolate buttons) tray and outdoor bbq were ideal. The hot tub was the perfect place to relax and Josh provided us with plenty of wood. The accommodation was close to Tenby and Saundersfoot and we were able to even get a taxi with the dogs so that we could have a drink or two! Would definitely recommend and look forward to our next stay!
Mini Break
Great location, out in the countryside but only a short drive to Tenby and surrounding beaches. We've never seen so many stars as theres little light pollution. It was a great holiday for our dog as its secluded with acres of meadows for running around in, also Caneston Woods are short drive away for scenic walks. Thanks to Joshua's Dad who couldn't have been more helpful and making the place spotlessly clean. Thankyou
Perfect Stay!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. We bought our 9month old golden retriever and just loved the whole thing. The hut is very clean and tidy but has everything you need. It feels very luxurious. Its in a field behind a cottage which feels very secluded and secure so our dog (with no recall) could play off lead with no worries. Only 15mins to Saundersfoot and Tenby. Brilliant. Hopefully we'll be back!
Perfect Stay
My little dog and I had a wonderful stay. The hut was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed for a few nights exploring the beauty of Pembrokeshire. The owners were friendly and helpful. My dog enjoyed her morning and evening runs around the meadows. Gorgeous peaceful setting. Perfect ! Will be back for sure.
Perfect weekend break
Just what we were looking for. We loved our stay in apple tree hut and so did the pooch. Friendly hosts and lots of open space for the dog to run, the hut had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. 10/10 Can’t wait to come again.
